This website was developed for International & local students International Islamic University Malaysia  and to serve as a platform for the student to register and purchase the insurance/takaful on-line, anytime, anywhere. The overall services include:

Compulsory Medical And Health Insurance

It is compulsory for each student entering Malaysia to study to have medical insurance. All  Students of International Islamic University Malaysia must be covered by a locally purchased Medical and Health Insurance (‘Medical Insurance’) appointed by the University.

Insurance Coverage Extension

Students are reminded that it is compulsory for them to have a valid medical insurance package throughout the period of study. International students who’s medical and health insurance cover period expires prior to the expiry of their existing student pass are required to top up/extend their insurance. The insurance top up amount should be sufficient to cover them until the expiry of their existing student pass or a maximum of 12 months from the insurance start date, whichever is lower.

Reimbursement

The medical expenses will be on reimbursement basis (pay and claim) subject to the policy Terms, Conditions and Exclusions. Please complete/fill up the Hospital Claim Form (where necessary) and submit the relevant documents as required in the “claim checklist” that attached to the claim form.

THE COVERAGE PLAN

International Islamic University Malaysia being the Policyholder will ensure all the students registered for the new semester after October 2015 are covered under this medical/insurance plan underwritten by Etiqa Takaful. Etiqa Takaful is an established Takaful Company that provides a shariah compliance insurance package and is backed by the largest local bank, Maybank Group. The overall plan provided is based on the arrangement made between the University, Insurance Provider and its Corporate Agency Company who managed this plan. This is compulsory plan to all the active students registered after October 2015.
This plan will be managed by the Corporate agency of Etiqa Takaful, NZ Network Management Services Sdn Bhd.

1. Cashless treatment (Medical Card / GL) @ panel hospital
2. 5% co-takaful applies for admission in Private Hospitals only
3. Admission treatment at Prince Court Medical Centre & Gleneagles Specialist is
not covered.

As required by UIAM, all students are advised to register.
